The incident occurred on February 26. The duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a telephone report about heavy smoke in the vicinity of aleja Wojska Polskiego.
A patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. On Emilii Plater Street, the officers located a chimney from which clouds of black smoke were billowing.
Bolesławiec Municipal Police:
An inspection carried out in the boiler room revealed that the person had no fuel permitted by law and also confirmed that the person was burning lacquered furniture waste.
The perpetrator of the offense was fined. What is more, the officers set another inspection date.

Despite repeated information about how dangerous burning this type of waste is to health, subsequent inspections of waste burning continue to reveal irregularities in this regard.
