A 79-year-old woman reported to the Lubin District Police Headquarters, informing officers that her son was abusing her.

Police established that the 59-year-old man not only psychologically abused his mother, but also repeatedly assaulted her. Matters went so far that after being hit by her son, the elderly woman had to receive medical assistance because she had suffered a head injury.

When she returned from the hospital, her abuser pushed her out of the apartment and locked the door. The victim had to seek accommodation at her daughter’s home.

The officer taking the report immediately decided to isolate the man from the elderly woman. The 59-year-old was detained by police officers in his own apartment and placed in a police cell. He has already been charged.

The Lubin District Court then, at the prosecutor’s request, remanded the suspect in temporary custody for two months.

The man had previously been convicted of other crimes. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
