The tragedy occurred on January 29, at around 3:00 a.m., on regional road No. 352 (Zgorzelec – Bogatynia), near the village of Koźmin (Zgorzelec County).
According to the police's preliminary findings, the driver of a Renault Master struck a pedestrian who was on the roadway. Despite resuscitation efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene.
