Officers from the Bolesławiec traffic unit received a report about a passenger car that had driven into a ditch on the A4 motorway.
When the police officers arrived at the scene, it turned out that other drivers had tried to help the man who was trapped in the car, but they had been unsuccessful.
The officers immediately took action and, despite the 63-year-old’s stiffened limbs, managed to get the injured man out of the vehicle.
They then placed the man in a safe position, covering him with a thermal blanket, and monitored his vital functions until the ambulance arrived.
Medical services confirmed the traffic officers’ suspicions—the resident of Legnica County had suffered a stroke.
The 63-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Legnica.
