Nationwide military qualification has begun. Medical commissions will assess the health of potential conscripts. Completing military qualification does not mean that a conscript will be immediately called up for service.
If someone is unable to attend the qualification, they must provide an excuse. If they fail to do so, they may face a fine or even be brought in by the police.
What can people expect during the qualification?
The commission will collect information about the potential conscripts’ health and determine their fitness for active military service. Everyone will receive a health booklet with one of the following categories marked: A, B, D or E. The commission will create a register of potential conscripts and transfer them to the reserve.
In Bolesławiec, the examinations will take place at the Provincial Hospital for the Nervously and Mentally Ill. They will run from 4 March to 21 March 2019.
