Lubin criminal investigators detained a man suspected of cultivating cannabis. He is a 50-year-old resident of Lubin County.

At the detainee’s apartment, officers discovered and secured eight cannabis plants in the flowering phase, as well as specialist equipment for cultivating them.

The 50-year-old was taken into police custody.

The man has already been questioned by a prosecutor and charged with cultivating cannabis plants other than fibre hemp.

Police:

Let us recall that possession and cultivation of drugs is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, and when the crime involves a significant quantity, by up to 10 years in prison.

A person involved in trafficking narcotic substances may, however, face up to 12 years in prison.
