Nowogrodziec police received a report of vehicle thefts. Officers determined that two drivers had left their vehicles in parking lots at petrol stations because of breakdowns.
When they returned for them, it turned out that they had been stolen.
According to the officers, three identified individuals are connected with these crimes. The thieves took a passenger car and a car transporter, on which they loaded a truck.
Police recovered the transporter and parts from the stolen passenger car. What is more, they found the burned-out truck in a forest.
Two suspects, aged 26 and 27, are already in police custody. Both have been charged. Efforts are under way to arrest the third thief.
Those arrested face up to 5 years in prison.
