On October 5, the duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a report of heavy smoke in the area of Śluzowa Street.
The patrol sent to the scene noticed a large bonfire at one of the construction sites on Żołnierzy Wyklętych Street, with clouds of smoke rising from it.
It turned out that one of the workers was burning construction waste in it, including cement bags. The man was issued a fine.
Municipal Police officers:
A reminder!!! The quality of our air—and therefore the health of ourselves and our loved ones—depends on us. Meanwhile, some people, acting completely thoughtlessly, dispose of various types of waste by burning it outdoors and throwing it into furnaces.
They add:
Despite the ban on burning waste and frequent inspections combined with an information campaign, officers of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police continue to uncover such cases and receive reports of them from city residents.
