November 1 – All Saints’ Day – is a time for contemplation and reflection. It is a day when Poles visit the graves of their loved ones and remember them. Lit candles symbolize remembrance of the dead.
On the day preceding All Saints’ Day, delegations of soldiers from the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade visited the graves of those who had prematurely bid farewell to the uniform. The armored cavalry soldiers paid them the remembrance and respect they deserved.
The soldiers from the Świętoszów unit, visiting their fellow service members in cemeteries, laid wreaths on their graves and lit candles. It was a time for reflection, as well as for remembering those who are no longer among them.
November 1 is, of course, not the only day when the cavalry soldiers from the armored brigade visit the graves of deceased soldiers. Amid the multitude of daily activities and official duties, there is also time for these extremely important visits. Several times a year, the soldiers travel to cemeteries to light a symbolic candle at the graves of their comrades.
On Wednesday, November 31, flowers and candles were also placed at the Świętoszów square dedicated to the Soldiers of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade Fallen in Polish Military Contingents. The soldiers from the armored brigade paid tribute to those who, while serving their Homeland, sacrificed what they held most dear – their own lives. Honor their Memory!
