The incident took place on Sunday, October 28, after 10:00 p.m., in Bolesławiec on Kosiby Street. The duty officer of the District Police Headquarters received a report that a drunk driver had hit a concrete bollard on one of the residential streets. A witness to the incident switched off the engine, took the driver’s keys, and called a patrol.
As it turned out, a resident of the City of Ceramics prevented the completely drunk driver from continuing to drive. The latter had got behind the wheel with almost 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath. He was detained.
The 29-year-old may now face up to two years in prison.
