The incident occurred on October 24. Officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra received a report that a man had threatened to commit suicide.
At the scene, they found the aforementioned desperate man. He was standing under a tree from which he had hung a belt. He stated that he intended to take his own life.
The police officers began talking to him and persuaded the 32-year-old to change his mind.
It turned out that the man was drunk. The desperate man was first taken to police custody to sober up. He was later placed under the care of doctors.
