The duty officer at the Police Station in Bogatynia was notified of a break-in at a Fiat vehicle parked on one of the streets in the town. Bogatynia criminal investigators were immediately sent to the scene. On one of the side streets, officers noticed a vehicle similar to the one the perpetrators were believed to be using. The car had no registration plates, and stolen toolboxes were found inside.
Two men suspected of the break-in were detained. One of them had the key to the vehicle containing the stolen items.
What is more, the man who was driving was subject to a court-imposed driving ban. And… he was wanted because he had 150 days of imprisonment to serve.
Both men were questioned. They have already been charged. They confessed to the crime.
Both detainees now face up to 10 years in prison.
