Police officers from the criminal and investigative divisions of Police Station No. 1 detained a 34-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County suspected of possessing significant quantities of narcotic substances and cultivating Indian hemp.
The officers received information that the man was probably growing marijuana on one of the properties in the Janowice Wielkie municipality. And indeed—the officers secured four cannabis plants at various stages of growth.
What is more, they found ready-dried marijuana and amphetamine, totalling nearly 7,400 retail portions. (The drugs’ black-market value was estimated at approximately PLN 140,000).
The police are still clarifying the circumstances of the case, including whether the suspect was also involved in trafficking narcotic substances.
The 34-year-old from Jelenia Góra County could now face up to 10 years in prison.
