The incident occurred on Monday, 13 August, in the morning, in Ocice (Bolesławiec municipality). A reader informed us about the matter. She wrote to us via Facebook:
Excessive speed and the narrowing of the road on the bends in Ocice are the main causes of accidents.
She added:
Because of the truck’s excessive speed, the vehicle drove into a fence. Perhaps with your help, something could be done about this? It’s frightening to walk along the pavement…
Update
It is now known that the driver of the Renault truck, a 54-year-old man from Lubań County, performed a passing manoeuvre incorrectly, moved into the opposite lane on a bend and collided with another truck—a Mercedes. (The latter was driven by a 44-year-old resident of Kalisz County.)
The Mercedes hit a fence. Fortunately, no one suffered more serious injuries. The 54-year-old was fined PLN 250.
