Police officers from the prevention department of the Lubin police went to a domestic intervention on August 7. At the scene, they found an aggressive and completely drunk man. He turned out to be a 55-year-old resident of Lubin municipality.
The officers determined that the man had been using psychological violence against his 79-year-old mother. What is more, he had threatened his sister, who was caring for the elderly woman.
During the officers’ intervention, the man was very aggressive and agitated and did not respond to police commands. Even in their presence, he addressed his mother using vulgar language.
Furthermore, it emerged that the 55-year-old had previously been convicted of using violence against a close relative. The aggressor was taken into police custody. At the police’s request, the prosecutor placed the 55-year-old under police supervision, banned him from approaching or contacting the women who had been harmed, and ordered him to leave the premises.
The man could now face up to five years in prison.
