We remind you that the heating network modernization is underway in central Bolesławiec. Earthworks around the Market Square are causing traffic disruptions. Among other things, part of Sierpnia '80 Street has been closed to traffic. A “no entry” sign has been placed near the Żabka store, and this is where drivers are having the most problems. Some of them, seeing the prohibition sign, stop beside it and begin reversing and turning around. If several cars are traveling along this road, it causes considerable confusion... A Reader informed us about the situation on this street.
Work related to the network modernization has been underway since June and was scheduled for the summer period. Before the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival (starting August 8), entry to and exit from the Market Square will be ensured. Metal footbridges will be installed where excavations are located to ensure passage for cars and allow pedestrians to cross.
