The ceremony began with Holy Mass at the parish church in Gromadka. After the ceremonial blessing of the new vehicle by parish priest Father Józef Adamowicz, the event participants went to the Municipal Culture Centre and Library, where Dariusz Pawliszczy, the commune head, and Brigadier General Ryszard Dąbrowa, among others, congratulated the firefighters.
The ceremony also included the official handover to the firefighters of a new rescue and firefighting vehicle purchased with funds from Gromadka Commune, with support from the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the Voivodeship Board of the Volunteer Fire Service Association of the Republic of Poland, and UMWD as part of the “Improving Safety in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship” competition.
Along with the new vehicle, the volunteer firefighters received new rescue equipment purchased with a grant from the Justice Fund.
