On June 2, a concerned mother reported to the duty officer at the Legnica police station. The woman told officers that an unknown perpetrator had stolen her 12-year-old son’s bicycle, worth PLN 800. She added that the thief had used violence.
The case was taken up by officers from the Juvenile and Pathology Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters. Several days after receiving the report, officers established the attacker’s identity and then located the minor responsible for the crime.
The evidence gathered by the officers shows that the 14-year-old perpetrator stole a bicycle belonging to a 12-year-old boy on Kołodziejska Street in Legnica. Shortly beforehand, he had pushed the boy and knocked him to the ground, rendering him defenseless.
The officers recovered the stolen bicycle. The 14-year-old was detained and placed in the Police Juvenile Shelter.
The young thief will now face the consequences. All the case materials will be handed over to the family court, which will decide the minor’s future.
