Criminal investigators from Bogatynia and Zgorzelec, acting on the basis of operational intelligence, detained a 39-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman who broke into a pawnshop in Bogatynia and stole gold items.
Furthermore, two fences were apprehended by the officers—a 33-year-old and a 38-year-old from Zgorzelec County, who had hidden the stolen jewelry in their apartment and helped sell it.
The police recovered jewelry worth PLN 5,200. All four detainees have already been charged. The burglars face up to ten years in prison. The fences could be jailed for five years.
