On Friday, March 6, police officers received a report of a loud drinking party in one of the apartments in Bolesławiec. Concerned neighbors notified the officers about the noise. When the patrol arrived at the scene, it turned out that a 26-year-old mother and the grandparents were caring for a 17-month-old boy and a girl who was only one month old.
The siblings were lying in a smoke-filled room. At the time of her detention, the 26-year-old woman was completely intoxicated. She had more than 3‰ of alcohol in her system.
The boy is under medical care, while the girl was taken to a care facility. Police are determining whether a crime was committed. If the investigation shows that the woman exposed the children to the danger of loss of life or serious harm to their health, she may face up to 5 years in prison.
