The incident occurred on Monday, May 21, at approximately 8:50 p.m. On Waryńskiego Street in Jelenia Góra, police officers noticed a car moving as if its driver were under the influence of alcohol.
The officers stopped the driver for a road check. He turned out to be a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen. A distinct smell of alcohol came from him. The test showed more than 2 per mille.
The suspect offered the officers PLN 4,000 in exchange for abandoning their official duties. And… he was immediately taken into police custody.
The 29-year-old now faces up to 10 years in prison.
