The incident took place on Sunday, 20 May, in Bolesławiec, near the Czarny Kot bar. A Croatian and a Slovenian national were drinking alcohol at the pub. At one point, they decided to leave. They got into a car and drove off a short distance. (The Slovenian was allegedly driving it.)

A resident of Bolesławiec who had also been at Czarny Kot ran after the foreigners and stopped the vehicle. He pulled the card from the car, bringing it to a halt. This greatly angered the foreigners, who became aggressive. The police were called to the scene.

When the officers arrived at Czarny Kot, both foreigners became even more aggressive. The suspects began to flee. The Croatian national was caught almost immediately.

The Slovenian fled towards the 40-lecia housing estate. One of the Bolesławiec police officers gave chase. The fugitive was detained after several hundred metres.

The Poles who were at the bar at the time agreed: the Bolesławiec resident reacted very well. (According to witnesses, both foreigners were heavily intoxicated.) Interestingly, this was already the second intervention of this kind by our fellow resident that Sunday. Earlier, the man had prevented a drunk driver from leaving the car park in front of the Forum cinema.

Thanks to the Bolesławiec resident's reaction, a tragedy may have been prevented. WELL DONE! The Slovenian could face up to two years in prison. We will return to this topic.
