All the detentions took place on Thursday, 17 May. In the municipality of Nowogrodziec, police officers stopped a 26-year-old for a roadside check. He was subject to a court-ordered driving ban. What is more, it emerged that the man had got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.
The second detainee was caught in Bolesławiec. The 34-year-old was driving despite having his driving entitlements revoked and turned out to be a wanted person.
The third man was detained at around 5:00 p.m., also in Bolesławiec. The 24-year-old was subject to... two active driving bans, while the car he was driving had replacement registration plates. (The police are currently clarifying the circumstances of the incident, including how the 24-year-old came into possession of the vehicle in question.)
Anyone who fails to comply with a court-imposed ban is liable to imprisonment for up to five years.
