On 16 May, officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted intensified preventive operations as part of the national “Truck & Bus” campaign. The officers inspected trucks, vans and buses. They checked:
- documentation authorizing the transport of passengers
- the driver’s documentation
- the way passengers and cargo were transported
- the drivers’ sobriety
- compliance with working-time standards by drivers.
Moreover, they paid attention to the technical condition of the vehicles, particularly the:
- steering system
- braking system
- condition of the tyres
- vehicle lighting
- condition and additional equipment of the vehicles.
During yesterday’s operation, officers:
- inspected 96 vehicles
- seized 20 registration certificates
- issued 21 fines in connection with technical defects.
