On 1 May this year, at 9:00 a.m., a Bolesławiec resident reported to the County Police Headquarters and handed the duty officer a bunch of keys. The man explained that in the car park by the railway station he had witnessed a situation in which a man locked his car and put the keys on the vehicle’s roof. He then hurried onto a train, leaving the keys behind. The person reporting the incident secured the keys so that they would not fall into the wrong hands. He brought the bunch of keys to the Bolesławiec police station and left a note under the car’s windshield wiper for the owner, stating that the keys could be collected from the police.
The keys have already been collected from the police station by their owner. Thanks to the honesty and commitment of the witness, the owner avoided many difficulties associated with losing the keys; in this case, the consequences could have been very costly.
