The theft took place during the night of April 17–18 in Bolesławiec. The perpetrator stole furniture and a suitcase containing a barbecue set worth PLN 1,600 from one of the garden allotment huts.
Based on the information gathered, officers from the Criminal Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters determined where the stolen items were located. They recovered some of the stolen property and arrested a 42-year-old woman suspected of handling stolen goods.
Later, the detectives caught a 43-year-old man suspected of the theft. The officers found the rest of the loot in his apartment.
The thief and the fence could now both face up to five years in prison.
