The 23-year-old was caught after showing a courier a forged identity card. The courier was carrying a package containing a bank agreement concluded using the details shown in the falsified document. (The courier company employee realized that the address to which the package was supposed to be delivered did not exist.)
When police officers arrived at the scene, the man showed them an identity card bearing his photograph but... the personal details of an entirely different person. The 23-year-old from Legnickie Pole was arrested and taken into police custody.
At the suspect’s home, officers found several additional forged identity cards. The 23-year-old resident of Legnica County could now face up to five years in prison.
