On Sunday around noon, the duty officer at the Police Station in Gryfów Śląski received a report that a crying little boy was walking unattended near a supermarket.
A police patrol went to the scene. It turned out that the 4-year-old had been shopping with his grandmother and had gotten lost. (His grandmother was no longer in the store.)
The little boy remembered only his first name. He did not know his surname or home address. Fortunately, he told the officers that he could describe the area where he lived.
The officers drove to the location identified from his description. It then emerged that the distraught grandmother had been looking for the boy and had reported to the police station in the meantime.
Fortunately, nothing happened to the little boy. The police thank the residents for reacting and informing the 112 emergency number operator about the entire incident.
