The incident occurred on Sunday, March 25, at the intersection of Piaskowa and Kubika Streets. Reader:

A silver Mercedes taxi […] stopped, and the woman sitting in the front opened the rear door and threw out a cat.... Unfortunately, I did not see the car’s registration number because when I shouted at her, she quickly drove away.

The cat was unharmed, but as the Reader pointed out, this increased the population of homeless animals in the City of Ceramics.

A reminder: Under Polish law, abandonment is one form of animal abuse, and it is a crime punishable by up to two years in prison. (However, it is often difficult to prove that someone was the owner of an abandoned animal.)

The Bolesławiec police will probably handle the case.
