During Thursday’s “Seat Belts” operation, Bolesławiec police officers inspected 84 vehicles throughout the district. The result? Officers issued fines to:
- 65 drivers who were not wearing seat belts
- 4 passengers who were travelling without their seat belts fastened.
Additionally, officers detained 3 drivers under the influence of alcohol:
- in Kruszyn, a 49-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality was driving a passenger car with 0.8 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath
- in Milików, a 37-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was driving a minibus with 1.4 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath
- in Zebrzydowa, a 22-year-old got behind the wheel of a passenger car with 0.4 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
Additionally, near the Bolesławiec police station, officers detained a 45-year-old who was travelling to work with a colleague. And... he had never held a driving licence.
Moreover, in Kruszyn, a 58-year-old was detained for driving despite having his driving privileges revoked, while in Bolesławiec officers caught a 24-year-old who was subject to a court driving ban and was wanted because he had a custodial sentence to serve.
