Police officers from the Property Crime Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica conducted operational activities that led to the arrest of a 28-year-old resident of Legnica suspected of a series of drug-related offenses. Information obtained by the officers indicated that the man had significant quantities of drugs in his apartment and was running a professional marijuana-growing operation.
The suspect was arrested at his home on March 12. Police seized more than 300 portions of marijuana, as well as a tent equipped with professional equipment for growing cannabis.
The 28-year-old, who was placed in police custody, will face charges of selling marijuana. It also emerged that the man had previously been in conflict with the law; he had been convicted of property crimes.
The Legnica resident could now face up to 10 years in prison.
