Officers secured 3 illegal gaming machines on which games of chance had been installed. The machines were handed over to customs officers, who will conduct further proceedings in the case.
“For possessing illegal machines in catering, commercial and service premises, severe penalties of PLN 100,000 per machine may apply,” say police officers from Zgorzelec. “This financial penalty may be imposed not only on the owner of the illegal machines, but also on the person who leases or rents the premises where illegal gambling machines are placed.
The owners of the premises and machines may also face up to 3 years in prison.
