Police officers from the prevention department of the Lubin police station detained a man suspected of stealing a car that had belonged to him. At the time of his arrest, the stolen vehicle was being driven by a woman who had more than 1 per mille of alcohol in her system.
The officers determined that the 43-year-old resident of Lubin had recently sold his car because he needed cash. However, he gave the new owner only one key to the vehicle. He kept the second one just in case.
When the 43-year-old decided that he could use the car, he went to where it was currently parked. Using his key, he opened the door.
Both the 43-year-old and the intoxicated driver were detained. They were both taken into police custody. He now faces up to 10 years in prison, while she could face up to two years behind bars.
