Bolesławiec officers, while patrolling the city, noticed a vehicle with Zgorzelec registration plates whose driver, upon seeing the police car, made a sudden maneuver and changed direction. The man was stopped for a roadside check. It turned out that the VW he was driving had been stolen in November 2017.
A 49-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was arrested. (The suspect already has property-related offenses on his record).
The 49-year-old now faces up to five years behind bars. The recovered car was returned to its owners.
