The incident occurred on Saturday, March 3. At around 12:30 p.m., officers from the Legnica traffic police received information that the driver of a Fiat Ducato was driving across the entire width of the A4 motorway. The officers immediately headed towards Wrocław, where they spotted the vehicle near Legnickie Pole.
The officers prevented the 34-year-old driver from continuing his journey. It turned out that the 34-year-old was completely drunk; he had nearly three per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath,
The suspect lost his driving licence. He could now additionally face up to two years in prison.
