Legnica police officers, investigating two cases involving pickpocketing at a shopping mall, identified the perpetrator based on surveillance footage. In both cases (in December last year and January this year), the 29-year-old stole wallets containing documents and cash.

Since the woman was well known to the officers, establishing her identity posed no difficulty. Nevertheless, she was very surprised when the uniformed officers knocked on her apartment door. She probably thought she would remain unpunished.

The 29-year-old was arrested. What is more, officers found marijuana in her apartment.

The pickpocket now faces up to three years in prison.
