The alleged offence took place in Gromadka. After entering a local gaming arcade, five perpetrators began threatening the employee inside with assault and used violence against her by pushing her and holding her by the chest and neck. They then took property worth no less than PLN 9,050 from the arcade, including surveillance cameras and a CCTV recorder, other electronic equipment, PLN 1,050 in cash and three gaming machines. Shortly after the incident, all the perpetrators were arrested.
Among other actions, searches were conducted in the case, during which physical evidence was secured, including items used to commit the offence and items originating from the robbery. Identification procedures were also carried out, during which the perpetrators were identified. The detainees were charged with jointly committing the offence of robbery under Article 280 § 1 of the Criminal Code, for which they face a sentence of between 2 and 12 years' imprisonment. The investigation is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec. Further procedural steps are being carried out. As it was established that the gaming arcade that was robbed was operating illegally, the case materials, together with the secured gaming machines, will be forwarded to the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office due to the possibility that a fiscal offence under Article 107 § 1 of the Fiscal Penal Code was committed.
