Officers from the Property Crime Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica identified and arrested a woman suspected of committing dozens of property-related offences. The suspect is a 20-year-old resident of Legnica.

According to the police findings, the suspect had been operating for the past several months. During that time, she repeatedly committed thefts and burglaries, mainly targeting sheds in allotment gardens in Legnica County. The arrested woman stole items left in the sheds, including garden tools, axes, canisters, garden pumps, electronic equipment, beekeeping equipment, handsaws, petrol lawnmowers, a drill and a bicycle.

The victims estimated their total losses at nearly 12,000 złoty. Police have already recovered some of the stolen property, which was returned to its owners. On the basis of the evidence collected by the officers, the suspect was charged with 34 counts of property theft and burglary.

Let us recall that under the applicable regulations, burglary is punishable by up to 10 years’ imprisonment.
