Police received information about a break-in at a garage in one of the apartment blocks in Bolesławiec and the theft of cameras worth approximately PLN 1,500 in total. Information gathered by the officers led them to a repeat offender well known to them, a 26-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. The man was not surprised to see the uniformed officers, as he admitted that he had expected a visit from detectives.
The suspect was arrested. After spending the night in police custody, he confessed and gave an explanation.
The man had already been convicted of similar offences. (Moreover, it emerged that he was wanted by the prosecutor’s office.) The recidivist now faces up to 10 years in prison.
