A group of masked people broke into a gaming arcade in Gromadka municipality, terrorized a 60-year-old woman and then stole gaming machines, electrical equipment and personal belongings worth approximately PLN 9,000 in total. Importantly, three of the perpetrators had previously been at the arcade and played on the machines. At night, already with reinforcements, they returned for the loot. They transported the machines on a trailer that turned out to be stolen.
After establishing the details of the incident, criminal investigators from the Bolesławiec unit began searching for the attackers. Police officers from the station in Kruszyn also joined the operation. The officers’ actions led to the suspects’ swift arrest. Some of the stolen property was also recovered.
The detainees are men aged approximately 35–45, residents of Bolesławiec County. Four of them had previously been recorded by police, including for theft, burglary and drug-related offenses. All of them were taken into police custody.
After reviewing the evidence, the court ordered three months of pre-trial detention for all the suspects. Those detained on suspicion of robbery may face a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
