Officers from the Prevention Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, while patrolling Rycerska Street, stopped a VW Golf for inspection. The car was driven by a 23-year-old resident of Legnica. The officers detected an odor of alcohol on him.
It turned out that the man was under the influence of alcohol (0.2‰ to 0.5‰). What is more, it emerged that the 23-year-old was subject to two bans on driving motor vehicles.
The suspect was taken to police custody. The Legnica resident now faces up to three years in prison.
