Police officers arrested a man who robbed a house in Kraśnik Dolny. Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn picked up the burglar’s trail. The man broke into an apartment and stole radio and television equipment. He also stole household appliances. The total value was PLN 1,500. The 45-year-old also tried to rob another house, but sturdy doors stopped him.
Police officers arrested the burglar on the same day he committed the theft. The man was riding a bicycle. He was completely drunk. A test showed 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. Officers recovered all the stolen items. The man had hidden some of them in a garden gazebo. Some were in a shed beside the house. The 45-year-old hid the rest of the loot in a cemetery. The recovered items have already been returned to their owners by the police.
The arrested man will face court proceedings for burglary and attempted burglary. The burglar faces up to 10 years in prison.
