Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters detained a 22-year-old man suspected of attempting to burglarize a commercial pavilion at the town market. After breaking into the building, the perpetrator set aside clothing worth more than PLN 3,500, which he intended to steal. However, he did not steal anything because the alarm went off, and the criminal fled the scene.
The 22-year-old was detained. As it turned out, the man had another failed break-in on his record. On the night of December 20–21, he wanted to rob office premises, but… he failed to get inside.
What is more, it came to light that the suspect had acted as an intermediary in the sale of a laptop originating from a crime. (He was therefore also charged with handling stolen goods).
The Bolesławiec resident, who had previously come into conflict with the law, pleaded guilty. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
