The operation began on December 22 and ended on the second day of Christmas, at 10:00 p.m. The police paid particular attention to drivers’ sobriety, the use of seat belts and child safety seats, and compliance with traffic regulations.

During this time, there were 25 collisions. Officers arrested three drunk drivers and one who got behind the wheel under the influence of drugs. All four could face up to two years in prison.
