Volunteers brought Christmas gifts to an elderly woman. The woman did not open the door for them. Concerned, they alerted the emergency services. The fire service, police and an ambulance arrived at the scene. It turned out that the elderly woman was not in any danger. She has hearing problems and did not hear the knocking on the door or the doorbell. Firefighters spoke with the woman. They made sure that she was all right, and the response was called off. The volunteers apologized. Unfortunately, all the services had been dispatched for nothing.
