Lubin police officers on duty were notified of a road incident. According to a witness, the driver rammed his vehicle into a tree growing next to one of the apartment blocks. Officers from the Preventive Police Department were sent to the scene.
The officers detained a 68-year-old resident of Lubin, who... was unharmed. The man had difficulty staying on his feet. He explained that he only wanted to move the car to another parking spot.
It turned out that the 68-year-old was completely drunk; he had nearly 3 per mille of alcohol in his system. He now faces up to 2 years in prison.
