The 30-year-old man from Lubin often visited a saleswoman working at one of the stores. He complimented her and whispered tender words to her. When the “relationship” developed, he borrowed money from her. However, he claimed that he had no way to pay it back. So he proposed a deal: she would let him into the store’s back room, and he would rob it. (In this way, the man was supposed to obtain money to settle the debt).
While the woman served other customers, she pretended not to see the man from Lubin taking cigarettes worth PLN 5,000 out of the store.
The 30-year-old sold the stolen goods, but he did not return the money to his “beloved.” (Interestingly, this was not the first such case in the history of the dishonest saleswoman. The woman lost her job and must now face criminal liability).
The suspect, a resident of Lubin suspected of theft, now faces up to five years in prison.
