Legnica police officers were patrolling the Prochowice municipality on December 9. Their attention was drawn to a Toyota in which three young men were travelling. The officers decided to carry out a traffic check.
During the check, all three behaved nervously and avoided eye contact with the officers. It turned out that the vehicle contained nearly 400 portions of marijuana. The suspects—17- and 18-year-olds from Lubin County and a 19-year-old resident of the Prochowice municipality—were detained and taken to police custody.
What is more, blood was taken from the 18-year-old driver for testing to determine whether the teenager had got behind the wheel under the influence of intoxicating substances.
All three suspects now face up to 10 years in prison.
