On Friday, November 24, police officers conducted the “Safe County” operation. During it, they checked 142 vehicles and issued as many as 110 fines. (84 drivers received them for exceeding the permitted speed. One of them exceeded it by 51 km/h in a built-up area and lost their driving licence).
Moreover, the officers also confiscated 5 vehicle registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles).
– The aim of the “Safe County” operation is to reduce the number of road incidents and draw drivers’ attention to the fact that compliance with traffic regulations has a direct impact on road safety – say officers from KPP Zgorzelec.
