Lubin police were informed by the duty officer that the driver of an Audi who had almost hit people at a pedestrian crossing was probably drunk.
During a conversation with the 44-year-old resident of Lubin, the officers immediately noticed a strong smell of alcohol. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed—the test showed that the Audi driver had more than 2 parts per mille of alcohol in his system.
Not wanting to lose his driving licence, the suspect offered the police officers a PLN 4,000 bribe. The result? The man was arrested and faces up to 10 years in prison.
